Our Annual Watertown MusicFests have been great community events with over 50 performances each year – by Watertown’s youngest musicians to professionals – on 4 “stages”, allowing Friends of Watertown Music to award more than $23,000 in grants for the direct benefit of music programming in the Watertown Public Schools.

Our most recent teaching grant provides an accompanist for the Watertown Middle School chorus, and we are providing scholarship assistance to the Watertown High School All-Performing Groups’ trip to the Heritage Music Festival in New York City.

We have also brought in more than $16,000 of outside grants for the purchase of instruments throughout the five schools.  Most recently, we thank the Watertown Community Foundation for funding the purchase of an elementary bass. Friends of Watertown Music matched this grant with donor funds for the purchase of a middle school bass.

Help make 2017 our best year ever!
