7th Annual MusicFest and Grants!

Please save Friday, April 6, 2018 for our 7th Annual Watertown MusicFest!

Grant:  Friends of Watertown Music is pleased to announce a grant to the Watertown Public Schools for $1750 to purchase three amps for the new electronic music courses at Watertown High School.

Update on last year’s grant:  The Middle School Chorus accompanist position funded by a Friends of Watertown Music grant last year has been incorporated into the school budget. In further great news, Watertown Public Schools has added another music teacher for this current school year!

There are now more music teachers in the department than there were before 2008!

Bonus:  In September, Friends of Watertown Music volunteers attended three Music & Arts Instrument Distribution Nights, including Watertown’s own, earning a $600 credit for the WPS account. We are grateful to Music & Arts for this opportunity.

It was wonderful to see so many excited students receive their instruments, including 3rd graders who for the first time may begin a stringed instrument.

MusicFest: Thank you!

Thanks to all who braved the rain, sleet, ice, snow, and slush to join us for the

Thank you to all our many volunteers – we could not have done it without your hard work!

And, of course, thank you to all the performers who shared their talents!
