13th Annual MusicFest 2026!

Join us for our …
13th Annual MusicFest this Friday, April 10th.
Doors open at 5:15 p.m. and performances start promptly at 5:30 p.m.!

This year we again feature a variety of music – folk, jazz, classical, pop, and rock – in concurrent solo and group acts on different “stages” including, among others: Flip Zero; Don Bakerian & Friends; Dead Stock; The Moxley Boys; many popular Watertown Public School teachers in various groups; student jazz bands; Girls Like That; piano, woodwinds, reeds, brass, strings, voice, ukelele … in solos or small ensembles. And no MusicFest would be complete without representation from local favorites Ruth Rappaport & Peter Wetherbee – this year we welcome JOE PETE is 3’n1!

The Instrument “Petting Zoo” also kicks off at 5:30 and runs till 6:45 while music lasts until 9 pm. Pizza and snacks available.

MusicFest Registration is now open through Monday, March 30th!

We welcome musicians in solos, duos, and ensembles
in all genres to join us for our
13th Annual MusicFest on April 10th, 5:30 – 9:30 pm
for an evening of live music and entertainment – simultaneous
performances on three “stages” with an instrument petting zoo
and pizza & refreshments served.

Musical March!

Our biggest Watertown Annual MusicFest ever is coming this
Friday, March 15th!
Doors open at 5:15 pm and performances start promptly at 5:30 pm.

This year we again feature a variety of musical genres in concurrent solo and group acts on three stages, including, among others:
Bob Jones of the Blue Dogs bringing his solo show; Yunona Tabala, opera; Char Baba, an improvisational show; former Director of the WPS Strings Program, Dr. Frederik Schuetze, an acoustic set; local favorites Ruth and Joe Pete; many popular Watertown Public School teachers; and let us not forget the high school rock bands!

Before MusicFest, all band students in grades 4-12 perform at
Bandarama on Tuesday, March 12th at 7 pm
in the Watertown Middle School Gymnasium – an amazing showcase!

Then later this month, all strings students in grades 4-12 perform in the
String Spectacular on March 27th at 7 pm
also at Watertown Middle School – yet another remarkable display
of student accomplishment!

Friends of Watertown Music is also pleased to announce a new School Program Grant for $2938 from the Watertown Community Foundation for full-size violins at Watertown High School.

We will match with $2938 of our own funds, raised through the generosity of our donors
– including all those who have participated in MusicFest over the years –
as performers, audience, and volunteers!

A special thank you to all the performers and guests who made MusicFest 2023 such a resounding success! We raised over $5,000 to support the music programs of the Watertown Public Schools!

It was also great to meet so many friends at the Faire on the Square.
We had five lucky winners from our free t-shirt drawing!

Our line-up features…
Professionals from the community, Watertown Public Schools faculty and parents,
and enthusiastic, young musicians as soloists, duos, trios, and more, playing
folk, classical, and jazz music from around the world!

Watertown’s own Ruth Rappaport and Pete Wetherbee
will close the evening for us!

Come early! Stay late!
