Thanks for visiting!

Welcome to Friends of Watertown Music, a group of volunteer parents and friends of the music program in the Watertown Public Schools. We came together in the summer of 2011 in response to the threat to the integrity of the music program resulting from several years of difficult budgets at local, state and federal levels. We love our music program and are committed to offering the best to the students of Watertown!

Current FY12 Goal:
Raise $60,000 for the 2011–2012 school year so that the School
Department can fill the gaps left by budget cuts.

The following are NO LONGER OFFERED:

  • Stage Band at the Middle School
  • 7th grade general music
  • Full Orchestra at the Middle School
  • Guitar Workshop at the High School
  • Electronic Music at the High School

Restored to FY12 School Department Budget in response to parent and student requests:  Elementary School instruments program in 4th and 5th grades
